 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are cleats required?
    • No. Tennis shoes are okay, but cleats will provide the best playing experience. No soccer or baseball cleats allowed.
  • Where are practices located?
    • Cheer/Tackle Football: Shackelford Park - 405 E. Clark Avenue Albany, GA 31705
    • Flag Football: TBA
  • What is the dress code for practice?
    • White t-shirt for both boys and girls. Boys will wear black shorts and girls blue shorts. Reach out to your team mom for specifics beyond that. Tennis shoes or cleats (football) should be worn. No "slides", flip flops, or crocs are allowed.
  • Are parents allowed to be a part of the practice?
    • Registered volunteers are allowed to participate in events including practices. If you would like to volunteer please reach out to your team mom or complete the volunteer registration form on the Volunteers page.
    • There will be space for parents to watch during practice. Beyond that practices are closed. Please allow the coaching staff to serve your child uninterrupted.
  • How can I donate?
    • Cash donations can be paid to the South Georgia Eagles administration
    • Cashapp is accepted via $SGEAGLES
    • All BUSINESS checks should be made payable to South Georgia Eagles.
    • Personal Checks not accepted
    • Contact a team mom or administrator to donate food/snacks/goods.
  • Is there a fee to participate?
    • Yes there is and it is $200 for football, $50 for flag football and $150 for cheer. There are promotions/scholarships available from time to time to offset these fees. 
    • You may sponsor a child if you like.
  • Game Rules
    • Persons aged 9th grade and under must be accompanied by an adult.
    • There is a Gate Fee. No Re-entry.
      • Jamboree: $10.00
      • Season games: $8.00
      • Playoff games: $12.00
      • Children Age 0-4 FREE
    • No weapons of any kind
    • No outside bags/containers allowed
    • No outside food/drink allowed
    • No smoking/vaping or use of Tobacco products
    • No fighting/cursing
    • No field access without prior approval
    • No pets unless they are an authorized service animal
    • No oversized objects that are likely to obstruct one's vision/view
    • Please obey all posted signage once inside the stadium/field
    • No standing or loitering in the concourse areas
    • No crossing the field for any reason.
    • Stadium, school officials, SGE staff reserve the right to ask anyone to vacate the stadium/field for violation of rules.
    • Please abide by these rules and any/all federal/local laws and/or statutes.
    • Violation of any city/state laws could result in the police being called and charges filed.
